The villa is designed so that it’s twin-level main living areas form a focus beside the 20m long infinity-edge swimming pool.
Key to the design concept is that off from the main living pavilion there are many private areas to allow guests to disperse or join one another in different areas, shaded, or open. The blending of the indoors with the outdoors is achieved by use of extensive folding, sliding doors to create seamless transitioning from inside the villa spaces to the outside.
High 3m+ ceilings and generous room sizes project the luxury of space even within the intimate and private bedroom areas. Extensive water features from the impressive entrance walkway to the ‘in water’ sala area at the southern end of the pool, to the outdoor spa showers in the bathroom areas several with cascading waterwalls promote a sense of tranquility and give the villa its name; ‘Santisuk’
The villa sits secure and private atop the estate with a statement entrance ‘walk’ alongside reflection ponds, which emphasize guest’s sense of arrival and bring one to the main living level. There expansive, integrated hard surface, grass, pool and pool deck areas give the villa it’s scale and central focus and provides ample space for entertaining and receptions.
Dining
Overlooking this area is the villa’s signature, two storey pavilion with formal dining, lounge area and side bar kitchen on the ground floor level with a second living area above. High quality anodized aluminum folding sliding windows allow these spaces to be opened up to the wonderful sea and mountain side views beyond. The pavilion is cloaked in well maintained wood which with the modern glazing provides an appealing fusion of the traditional with the modern.
The living area pavilion also looks out and down over the 20m long Indonesian stone infinity pool with ‘floating’ relaxing sala at the southern end for massages, reading, dining etc.
There are five spacious, sea-view bedrooms with indoor and outdoor bathrooms and plenty of closet space.
To the rear side of the main villa level looking westwards across the lawns and pool to the sea, are two large guest bedrooms, 2 and 3 with high ceilings, wooden floors and bathrooms each with an external private garden area with waterfall and second , outside shower.
Master
On the northern side of the pool level is the master bedroom suite. It’s forward position provides a high level of privacy, while the three sided floor to ceiling folding/ sliding windows maximize views of the surrounding hills and sea. Once again, this bedroom enjoys huge space, high ceilings, an integrated work desk behind the bed, and both indoor and outdoor shower facilities.
Down a stairway is access to bedroom 4 and 5. Each have strong sea-views and spacious terraces/ balconies. Bedroom 5 has an ocean-view bath in addition to shower.
Behind bedroom 4 is a home theatre/ TV room with additional storage room.
At the rear of the main living level stairs lead down to a large kitchen and pantry.
Further stairs lead to a spacious well-lit and airy gym and then on to two maids’ rooms.
At the rear of the villa is a walkway to a mountain facing sala for guests to read and relax away from the main villa.
The villa was completed in around 2005. It has been well maintained and underwent a redecoration in 2022.
